Anyone watching American Idol this season? Got a favorite? For the first time ever, I do not have a favorite.

Idol is still going? The Australian version of Idol started sucking years ago!

Last year I wish that Lambert guy won though, not that I watch/follow Idol but I reckon he's cool. Cool

Brett Michaels new American Idol judge?? There is talk of it. He'd be a good judge.

I can't imagine it being much fun without Simon Cowell as a judge.

You've got Randy "dawg" Jackson who never offers any constructive criticism, all he says is "I just wasn't feeling it, dawg" or "it didn't do it for me, dawg" - new girl Ellen trying to crack jokes at every given opportunity, and then there's Kara, who isn't too bad I suppose, but I wouldn't miss her if she fell off the panel.

I think AI will fade into the background when Cowell introduces his X-Factor show to the US.

I will not miss Simon or his man boobs.
For me, it's all about the contestants and their singing.

I still enjoy myself watching the old AI on youtube, but just the worst contestants. I remember a girl farting while she was concentrating, was pretty funny that I couldn't stop laughing in a while.

I just heard that Harry Connick, Jr. and Chris Isaak are also being considered to replace Simon. Of the three--Harry, Chris and Brett, I'd like to see Harry get the job. Who is your choice?

Of course, someone entirely different could end up being the new judge.

I'd go for someone entirely different.

Usher should apply for the job, then again he is responsible for the creation of Justin Bieber so maybe not.

Ellen D. has voted herself off of American Idol, she no longer wishes to judge due to her work schedule and not wanting to hurt feelings. This news is on her Twitter page. Also, there is news Kara possibly won't be returning with JLo possibly taking her place.
There is also talk of going back to the 3-judge format: Randy, JLo, and Steven Tyler.

Kara is officially off the show too, heard her talking about it on the radio.
